Problem: Take notes in Hubspot on a LinkedIn contact

Solution: (1) Regularly import LinkedIn contacts to Hubspot and (2) Jump from LinkedIn to Hubspot in one click

Importing LinkedIn Contacts to Hubspot

  • Use the LinkedIn functionality to export users as CSV
  • Use the Hubspot contact importer
  • Make sure to import the LinkedIn URL as well (I use the LinkedIn field, but there is also a LinkedIn URL field, which I ignore)

Jumping from LinkedIn to Hubspot

In Chrome: Open the Bookmark Manager and create a Bookmarklet with this code:

Important: Replace the Hubspot URL with your instance

Result: Clicking on the bookmarklet when a contact is open creates a new hubspot tab and searches for a user with that name.
